Our Story
Two people.A kitchen.A candle.
This is the whole story. There is no factory. There is no marketing team. There is George & Evi, a kitchen in Ptolemaida, and a candle - slowly, carefully, made.
It began with a gift.
In the winter of 2025, in a small flat in Ptolemaida, George wanted to make Evi something for her birthday - not bought, not borrowed. He poured his first candle on the kitchen counter one Sunday morning, with a thermometer borrowed from a friend, a kilo of wax, and absolutely no idea what he was doing.
The wax had cracked. The wick leaned a little to the left. But the kitchen still smelled, hours later, of bergamot and warm honey. Evi lit it. She smiled. And then she said the thing that started everything.

A few for friends.
So we did. A few for friends. A few for colleagues at work. A few more for a cousin's wedding. And after a year of weekends - testing waxes, mixing notes, melting, re-melting, ruining a small fleet of saucepans - we had something we wanted to share more widely.

The same kitchen.
G&E Signature Scents opened to the public in early 2026, in the same kitchen, in the same small flat in Ptolemaida. We both still have day jobs. We pour on weekends and most evenings. Every candle is made by us, two pairs of hands, one batch at a time. There is no factory. There is no production line. There are no shortcuts.

Poured to order. Cured before it ships.
Nothing sits on a shelf waiting. Every candle is poured by hand the moment your payment clears - so it leaves the studio days, not months, after it was made. Each one cures for 48 hours before it travels. We choose our materials with the kind of obsession you'd expect from a couple who spent a year arguing over which note of jasmine smells most like dusk.
Coconut-soy wax
Clean burn. No paraffin, ever.
Cotton wicks
Certified lead-free.
Fragrance oils
Grasse, Florence, Athens.
Wrapped, ribboned, numbered.
Every candle leaves Ptolemaida wrapped by hand, tied with a small ribbon, and signed on the base - the date and the order in which it was poured. We do this because it matters to us, and because we want you to feel, when you light it, that it was made by people who took the time.
Thank you for being here.
That's the whole story. There is no factory. There is no marketing team. There is George & Evi, a kitchen in Ptolemaida, and a candle - slowly, carefully, made. If you light one, it was made by us, on a weekend, with care.
Welcome to G&E.
